Day 2.
New question for you to consider..........................
Is there justice in this world?
To find the answer to this question, I guess I would first have to consider what the definition of justice is. Then I would have to consider, in what way it would be distributed in order to make it equitable.
Well what is justice? Is it not generally interpreted as a payout or payback for undeserved pain inflicted apon us? O.K., so lets accept that that is what it is. So, in order for justice to be distributed equitably, one would first have to determine that justice is justified in a given situation, yes?
Well, how exactly is this achieved? I guess if the situation was obvious, that is, that laws had been broken and the legal players had brought the culprit/s to bear, he/she appears before a judge and recieves some kind of punishment, then one might feel that justice had been done.
Of course, relying on the laws to bring equity, doesnt always happen. Leaving the victim to feel that justice still had not been served. And what if, the situation doesnt involve breaking a law or if the culprit/s can not be brought to bear, where would be the justice in that?
Once apon a time, citizens of so called christian countries could call upon an all knowing, all powerful God to bring justice for us. However, we killed him off, so he's no longer available. I must admit it was easy when we had him, because we could just pray and then he dealt with it all. Life has gotten so complicated .................................sigh.
Now we have to rely on our own human abilities or the abilities of other humans to determine whether we even have a right to justice. That causes all sorts of problems because most of the time, these others that hold the power to our getting justice, werent even there when the situation took place, so we have to convince them we deserve payback. We may have to produce evidence as well.
What about all the covert stuff that happens, where you cant even proove that someone has done an evil against you. eg. a work colleague undermines you to the boss and steals your ideas so that he/she ends up with the promotion you badly worked for for the last five years and there is no evidence that you may defend your position with?
POOP!!!
You know what? You cant know if human distributed justice will ever find you in any given situation, neither can you rely on divine help arriving because God is dead, may he rest in peace, but justice can be found in every situation, by simply choosing to not desire it.
Think about it......................................................................

Day 1
Yes, this is DAY 1.
Of course this is not the first day of my life, nor the first day of anything other thing in particular. Its just the first day of my blog.
What is the purpose of life?
Being someone that has walked many years on this earth, probably I would fall in the second half of the ages, I think it warrants me at least some credibility to the things that I have to say.
Not to say that younger people dont have valid truths, but truth is only law if it has proof of validity. Of course it takes time to proove a theory. Theories of wisdoms take just as much time to proove as does any theory of the sciences.
Firstly it is important to establish that knowledge and wisdom are two different things. To have knowledge, is to gather information. Wisdom is the ability to know what to do correctly with the information that you have. It is the developing of wisdom that is the time consuming part.
Knowledge has become so accessible with the emergence of the world wide web, one needs only to literally press a button to have all the knowledge in the world at one's disposal. No matter how much information is gathered this does not make a person wise, it only means they win the trivia contests. hehe
To become wise, one has to test the knowledge that one has gleened. Even on this, there are two necessary points to be made. Firstly, do people consciously know that they need to explore their knowledge in order to gain wisdom, and secondly, that circumstances happen in life that force us to put to practice our knowledge. These are our survival intuitions, however, without being consciously aware of the knowledge we must employ in these circumstances we are bound to find ourself imbroiled in these same issues over and over again.
So my belief is that life is about the birth of our wisdoms.
What say you?
